You say I'm mad about horses? Guilty as charged! Their strength and beauty sets my world on fire. The freedom they symbolize is magical, and I never tire of photographing these soulful animals.
For more than 30 years I have been photographing and writing about dogs--their history, origin, and the purpose for which they were originally bred. I've covered most topics including sports nutrition, exercise, training, genetics, breed-specific diseases, and cutting-edge veterinary research. I'm endlessly curious about why we love dogs, why we are eternally devoted to them, and why they love us unconditionally in return. It's also why I love photography--capturing a nano-second in time that otherwise would have gone unnoticed or simply been a memory in the heart.
Dogs are my life and passion! My goal is capturing the unique energy and personality within each dog--the soul inside the endless contrasts of breed, size, personality, and scruffy coats.
I've been writing about dogs for more than 30 years. Take a peek at my newest bookReporting For Duty, True Stories of Wounded Veterans and Their Service Dogs.
